Parks Robert's Park is Cabool's largest park with eight acres four blocks from Main Street. A ball park, two lighted tennis courts, two picnic shelters, an amphitheater, a half mile paved walking trail, a basketball court, along with playground equipment for the kids, makes Roberts Park a place for the the whole community to enjoy. Memorial is located on Main Street and has an outdoor shuffleboard court and horseshoe pitching. Cook Field has a lighted regulation size baseball field. It is used by the high school for baseball and softball. Elliot Park located on Walnut Avenue, offers an Olympic-size swimming pool, wading pool, and picnic shelter. Gateway Park located on Main Street, offers outdoor meeting and recreational facilities. Forsythe Park is located at the Middle School. I offers a basketball court, playground, and a small ballfield.
City Swimming Pool The city swimming pool is located one block from Roberts Park. An olympic size pool is enjoyed throughout the summer. The YMCA swim team practices and holds meets at the pool. YMCA
The Cabool YMCA is located at 600 Cedar Avenue. The facility has a wide range of health equipment and sponsors many league activities for the kids. Walking Trail and Track
Roberts Park has a paved half mile walking trail and the Cabool School has made the walking track on the mezzanine of the gymnasium available for persons to walk. In conjuction with the YMCA, a program has been set up to reward walkers by tracking their progress. Golf Course
The Wedgewood Country Club, a ten minute drive from downtown Cabool, offers a nine-hole championship golf course, pool, tennis courts, clubhouse facilities and a pro shop. National and State Parks The area is surrounded by State and National Parks.
