Parks

The City of Cabool has 6 parks within the corporate city limits:

Roberts Park: Roberts Park is located between Cedar Avenue and Pine Avenue. It offers playground equipment, tennis courts, Frisbee golf courts, basketball courts, baseball field, an outdoor amphitheater, and a nice walking trail. The park also offers 2 covered pavilions with picnic tables to use for gatherings.

Forsythe Park:  Forsythe Park is located next to Cabool Middle School.  It offers a baseball field, that is used frequently by the students at Cabool Schools.

Memorial Park:  The Memorial Park is located at the corner of Main Street and Cedar Avenue.  It offers public restrooms, a covered pavilion with several picnic tables, and a nice gazebo that provides a gathering place for friends and neighbors to relax on warm, summer evenings.  It is also offers a Vietnam Memorial to pay tribute to our local service men and women.

Freedom Park: Freedom Park is home to the Memorial Arch, that at one time sat in the middle of Main Street.  The park also has a shuffleboard court, and benches to relax and enjoy the area.

Piney River Recreational Area:  The Piney River Recreational Area is located off of South Cedar Avenue.  It offers community gardens, playground equipment, and soccer fields.  The area also has a catch and release lake, Montgomery Lake, that is surrounded by a paved walking trail, to enjoy walks with your friends and pets (on a leash).  The soccer fields are also surrounded by a nice paved walking trail to allow for plenty of room for walking, running, biking, and roller blading.

Elliott Park:  Elliott Park is located at the corner of Walnut Avenue and Maple Street.  It is the home to the city swimming pool.  The pool offers diving boards and a water slide, as well as a concession stand for cool treats on a hot summer afternoon.  There are several shaded tables for parents to watch their young ones have fun in the pool.
